At Rylstone Botanicals, everything we create begins with place.
Our farm sits just outside Rylstone, NSW — an ancient and beautiful landscape shaped by time, surrounded by striking pagoda rock formations and sweeping sandstone escarpments. Here, native plants flourish, wildlife moves freely through the land, and the rhythm of nature quietly guides how we live and work. This environment is not simply where our products are made; it is the inspiration behind every formula we create.
We believe that nature already holds the answers. Rather than overpowering it, we look to Mother Nature for solutions — studying the resilience, fragrance, and healing qualities of the flora around us to refine and improve our formulations. The essential oils used in our products are grown, harvested, and distilled right here on our farm, allowing us to maintain complete control over quality while staying deeply connected to the source.
Every product is made in small batches using the purest and simplest ingredients possible. Our philosophy is uncomplicated: all natural, good for you, and good for the environment. We carefully select ingredients that work in harmony with the skin, the home, and the natural world, ensuring each formulation performs beautifully while remaining gentle and honest.
Water is central to our process. We use rainwater collected on our farm — naturally soft, free from impurities, and untouched by chemical additives. It allows us to create products that reflect the purity of the landscape itself.
We minimise preservatives wherever possible and only use food-grade preservatives when they are truly needed to ensure safety and stability. As a result, many of our products have a shorter shelf life and are best enjoyed within 12 months. We see this as part of our commitment to freshness and authenticity — and we are confident they will be well loved and used long before then.
Sustainability is woven into everything we do. Our farming practices focus on regeneration: improving soil health, encouraging biodiversity, conserving water, and working with the land rather than against it. We are fortunate to farm in a relatively unspoilt part of Australia, where native species have grown and thrived for thousands of years. Our role is simply to nurture and protect this environment so it continues to flourish for generations to come.
